Specialty Waxes

Specialty waxes are a diverse category of waxes formulated to meet specific performance requirements or to offer unique properties that distinguish them from standard paraffin or natural waxes. These waxes are tailored for specialized applications in various industries, including packaging, cosmetics, electronics, and more.

Microcrystalline Wax

A close cousin to paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax boasts a significantly higher melting point and superior flexibility. This makes it ideal for applications requiring heat resistance, such as coatings for hot surfaces or adhesives used in high-temperature environments. Additionally, its flexibility allows for a wider range of movement without cracking, making it valuable in products like polishes and sealants.

Polyethylene Wax

A more economical option compared to fully refined wax, semi-refined paraffin wax offers a balance between cost and performance. It may exhibit a slight color or odor, but these characteristics don’t hinder its functionality in many applications. Industries like floor polish production utilize semi-refined wax for its effectiveness at a competitive price point. While not ideal for high-end candles due to potential color variations, it can be suitable for certain candle types where aesthetics are less critical.
