Foots Oil

Foots oil, also known as residue wax, is a by-product of the refining process of paraffin wax, categorized into light, medium, and heavy types based on their oil content and consistency.

Light Foots Oil

Light foots oil has a relatively high oil content and is more fluid in nature. It is often used in applications where a low melting point and high lubrication properties are needed, such as in the formulation of polishes, rust preventive coatings, and as a processing aid in rubber and plastic industries. Its light consistency makes it an excellent choice for use in industrial lubricants and metalworking fluids.

Medium Foots Oil

Medium foots oil features a balanced oil content and viscosity, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications. It is commonly used in the manufacturing of emulsions and creams, as well as in the textile industry for fabric finishing and softening agents. Medium foots oil’s properties make it ideal for blending with other waxes to achieve desired consistency and performance characteristics in end products.

Heavy Foots Oil

Heavy foots oil has the lowest oil content and is more solid compared to the other two types. Its higher melting point and solid consistency make it suitable for producing wax blends used in the manufacture of candles, adhesives, and rubber compounds. Additionally, heavy foots oil is often used as a feedstock in the production of higher-grade refined waxes and in applications requiring enhanced durability and stability, such as in coatings and sealants.
